Special Events for Families and Children

Our Intergenerational model of Faith Formation has not displaced these activities which have been active at St. John de LaSalle for many years.

We continue to offer these opportunies of faith participation for the young people of our parish and welcome any adults who wish to help in running these programs.

Advent Activity Day

The First Sunday in Advent is set aside to learn about this special season. Families are welcome for crafts, stories, videos, service projects and snacks. Make an Advent wreath, create a Christmas card for a shut-in and learn about St. Nicholas.

Christmas Pageant

The children of the parish share their talents in the telling of the Christmas story. All children of all ages are welcome to participate in this presentation. We will present our story at 12:30pm on the Fourth Sunday of Advent,  followed by cookies and cocoa in the church basement. Please see the calendar for rehearsal times.

Holy Week Activity Day

Set aside some time in the spring to prepare your self for the Lenten season. We learn about Palm Sunday and all the special things which make Holy Week the special time it is. Check the calendar for date and time.

Vacation Bible School

The summer days are for fun and faith. Join your friends ages 4-12 for a morning of activities, games, stories, and snacks with a biblical theme. A week of activity ending with a field trip to a local religious site.
