Whole Family Catechesis

WHOLE FAMILY CATECHESIS

Whole Family Catechesis is a program whereby the entire family participates in activities and learning about the same topic at their age and faith development level. This utilizes a spiral curriculum and the learning builds upon itself each year. The family is supported by the parish through liturgical events, learning opportunities, social justice participation and community building. We come together to BE CHURCH. We are the hands and feet of Christ on earth.

Forming Disciples

A Curriculum of Action

This curriculum looks at the six tasks of catechesis as six key elements of lived Catholic life so as to help young disciples in formation to realize the intim ate connection between our Catholic faith and life.   These six key elements of Catholic life “constitute a unified whole by which catechesis seeks to achieve its objective: the formation of disciples of Jesus Christ.” (GDC nos. 85 - 86; NDC no. 20)

WEEKLY JUSTICE CHALLENGE

15th Week in Ordinary Time (July 14)

Justice Challenge: What is happening around the world today? Have you watched the news or learned some things from internet stories or Facebook posts? Are there things in the news that trouble you? Things that make you feel good? God knows your heart. He may be asking you to pray for those who are suffering around the world or to do something to ease their pain. What might God be asking of you today to be in solidarity with those who are in need? Ask in prayer, write it down, share it with someone and make a plan to act!
